Francis was a native of Bunclody, Co. Wexford and joined the Arts Ability Studio group at CUMAS New Ross in 2007.
His 'Europe' series of paintings was inspired by a European tour he took with his late mother and his sister almost 20 years ago. He also painted a series of his favourite boxers, in particularly, Floyd Patterson, Muhammad Ali and Archie Moor.
